Govijnan Prashikhyan

🧬 Govijnan Prashikhyan

At Guru Govinda Go-Sevashram, we are committed to reviving and promoting the ancient wisdom of cow-based agriculture and holistic living through our Govijnan Prashikhyan initiative. This program offers scientific training to individuals and communities, focusing on the multifaceted benefits of indigenous cows and their products.
The initiative bridges traditional knowledge with modern scientific practices, helping participants understand how cow-derived products can be applied to organic farming, natural healthcare, and sustainable living. Through hands-on demonstrations and workshops, we teach practical skills that empower farmers, homemakers, and youth to implement eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
Participants learn to prepare and use Panchagavya and other cow-based formulations for soil enrichment, crop protection, and natural remedies, reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Beyond agriculture, the program explores cow-based cottage industries, allowing communities to generate income while preserving ecological and cultural heritage.

📚 Training Objectives

Understanding Indigenous Cows

Educating participants about the significance of native cow breeds and their role in sustainable agriculture and rural development.

Cow-Based Organic Farming

Imparting knowledge on chemical-free farming practices using cow dung, urine, and other by-products, fostering soil health and ecological balance.

Panchagavya Preparation

Training in the preparation and application of Panchagavya (a mixture of five cow products) for enhancing plant growth and immunity.

🏫 Training Facilities and Outreach

A dedicated training center has been established within the campus at Hariharananda Gurukulam, Puri, serving as a hub for research, education, and hands-on learning. Here, monthly training programs are conducted for farmers, students, women, and youth from various districts of Odisha, providing them with practical knowledge in cow-based agriculture, sustainable farming, and the use of cow-derived products.

The center is equipped with demonstration plots, classrooms, and practical labs where participants can learn by doing — preparing Panchagavya, practicing organic farming techniques, and understanding cattle care. The curriculum combines traditional wisdom with modern scientific methods, ensuring participants gain a comprehensive understanding of cow-based sustainable living.Beyond the campus, our experienced trainers travel to villages and rural communities, conducting workshops, awareness campaigns, and hands-on training sessions.
